2000-ih je Diesel bio sinonim za kul. Ako ste imali farmerke sa potpisom ovog brenda bili ste u trendu i znali ste šta dobro prolazi. Onda su se dogodile promene na tržištu i neki od najvećih više nisu bili toliko zanimljivi kupcima koji su se jednostavno okrenuli nekim drugim manjim indie brendovima koji su počeli da diktiraju trendove. Diesel je imao nekoliko uspešnih kreativnih direktora, ali nijedan do sad nije tako dobro uhvatio talas modne nostalgije kao Glenn Martens. Ima tu svakako i trenutno aktuelnog povratka trenda 2000-ih koji je rezultirao i povratkom mnogih poznatih brendova iz te ere, ali Glenn Martens ne spava na starim lovorikama i slobodno smemo da kažemo da je punom silom poveo Diesel u novu eru.

“Želeo sam da otvorim Diesel prema javnosti, ljudima koji možda nikad nisu bili na reviji. Oni zaslužuju spektakl, pa smo srušili rekord u najvećoj skulpturi na naduvavanje. To je ono u šta verujem i u modi i u stanju uma – svi mogu biti deo Diesela”, izjavio je Martens.

Očekujte još veći boom ovog brenda na proleće jer Glenn Martens vrlo dobro zna šta (i kako) radi.
